About ONCAMPUS UNT

ONCAMPUS Texas students benefit from full integration into the University campus, activities, clubs and organizations and more. In addition, they receive supportive classes specifically designed to build their university and language skills to enable students to reach their full potential.

Why choose ONCAMPUS UNT?

  • Successful ONCAMPUS Texas students are guaranteed a place in one of the UNT's 140 degree and certificate programs.
  • Students will live and study alongside university students from day one and have full access to all facilities and resources.
  • SAT scores, personal statements, and letters of recommendation are not required.
  • Equivalent to a freshman year at a university; 30 credits upon successful completion.
  • A beautiful, traditional campus with welcoming faculty and staff providing unparalleled support and guidance.
  • Students will have the opportunity to progress into the second (sophomore) year of degree courses at UNT.
  • Receive full support during your first year as an ONCAMPUS Texas student.  After freshman year, transfer into UNT for years 2-4.

  • ONCAMPUS Texas helps international students succeed – academically, socially, and professionally – with a one-year support program delivered at the University of North Texas.
  • You will earn a full year of college credits, living and learning in the center of Texas, and become prepared to complete your chosen degree at the University of North Texas.

  • UNT is a large public, student-centered research university. It is committed to advancing educational excellence and preparing students to become thoughtful, engaged citizens of the world.
  • Feel at ease with all of the comforts of home at UNT.  With multiple dining facilities, cafes, lounges, student center, fitness center,  and library, you’ll be able to find what you need or get valuable advice on where to go to find it.

Programmes

1st year of your degree through ONCAMPUS Texas at University of North Texas

  • Earn 30 credits, a normal freshman course load, taking classes that are taught by UNT faculty
  • Benefit from small classes that are no more than 25 students per class
  • In addition, you’ll receive supplemental instruction in English and other academic skills

Program Benefits

The transition to college-level study is challenging for most students. This is especially true for international students who also have to adjust to a different culture, a different language, and an education system that is quite different from the one at home.

• Ability to earn the same 30 college credits typical of any first year student

Entry Requirements

English requirements:

A minimum level of English equivalent to 55 TOEFL iBT or IELTS 5.0.

Academic requirements

Bangladesh: Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary Certificate with pass grades

UK: 5 O levels above grade C

India: Completion of Year X with average 65% / Completion of Year XI with average 50% / Completion of Year XII with average 40%

*This summer semester is for students beginning in January 2016 only.

**Tuition fees include up to 34 credits, and additional support classes as noted on the programs page.  All programs are subject to a $200 non-refundable registration fee and a $2,300 refundable deposit.

***Accommodation includes Thanksgiving and Spring breaks but not the winter and summer vacation. Dining is not included during any vacation period as the UNT dining facilities are closed.

****Mandatory fees include health insurance and use of UNT facilities such as libraries, transportation and recreational facilities.
