ABOUT CITY UNIVERSITY, LONDON
City University is a public reaserch university formed under the Royal Charter in 1966.
It was founded as Newcastle Institute in 1894 and in 2001 merged with the Inns of Court School of Law, established in 1852, thus making it the odlest part of the university.
The University houses 40 departments which include The Inns of Court School of Law (Part of City Law College), Department of Journalism and CASS Business School.
The University ranks in the top 400 universities worldwide by both Times Higher Education Rankinsg and QS Rankings and is ranked in the top 100 of universities under 50 years old by Times Higher Education. CASS Business School is ranked in the top 3 bsuiness schools in the UK and 2nd in London. City University is a member of the Association of MBAs and the European Consortium of Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
