Purpose built facilities
Students have access to some of the best equipment, replicating real industry facilities. These include the following:
• A radiopharmacy laboratory which is one of the largest of its kind in Australia. These facilities are used by nuclear medicine students to work with radiopharmaceuticals used to diagnose and treat diseases.
• Studio space for students studying communication, information technology or visual communication design. Students have access to facilities such as sound and television studios, editing suites and the latest equipment to produce quality short films, recordings and music videos.
• A brand new state-of-the-art creative music production facility designed for music students, with access to editing booths, a recording studio and customised video conferencing facilities to interact with music professionals across the globe. • A simulation unit and 10 clinical skills laboratories, providing students with a realistic environment for the development of clinical skills before
working with real patients in a real clinical setting. The School of Nursing and Midwifery also includes the use of high fidelity human simulation

ABOUT PATHWAY EDUCATION An Undergraduate Pathway is a single course which is comprised of a series of stages (Stages 1-4) of study which on successful completion results in the award of a Bachelor's. A Postgraduate Pathway is a single course which is comprised of a series of stages of study (Stages 1 - 2) which on successful completion results in the award of a Master's Degree. Foundation or Stage1 A pre degree programme for students who do not meet university entry requirements. Successful completion leads to progression to year 1 of a UK bachelor degree. The course includes both academic subjects as well as English Language. In Australia the foundation is often known as – Otherwise also known as Certificate IV or Tertiary Access .The tertiary access is an accelerated program for more advanced students. Diploma Year 1 - Stage 2 Designed for students who fail to meet the entry requirements for direct entry, but who are still capable of studying at that level. Successful completion leads to the 2nd year of a UK bachelor degree programme. The course includes both academic subjects as well as English Language. Stages 3 and 4 comprise of the 2nd and 3rd year of an honours degree. Graduate Diploma A 2 term and accelerated 1 term programme is available for students who have a degree, but not one which is equivalent to a UK degree. Successful completion leads to direct entry to the master degree. English Language - A presessional English Language programme is available for those who fail to meet the minimum English Language requirements. Please note visa regulations may differ in the cae of English Language entry. Bachelor Degrees Master Degrees Designed for students who have equivalent to an Australian degree or who meet the minimum entry qualifications as outlined under entry requirements. Students who do not meet these requirements should follow the pathway entry. Undergraduate Pathways Certificate IV Business and Commerce Tertiary Preparation Pathway to Medicine (TPP) Progress to the Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine Diploma (Degree Year 1)Standard and fast track Business and Commerce Postgraduate Pathway Not Available ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS Certificate IV Completion of the General Certificate of Education with 50% average, or Year 11 (10+1) with a 70% GPA Diploma Stage 2 Higher School Certificate with a GPA of 3.0 ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Foundation IELTS (Academic) 5.5 (minimum 5.0 in individual bands for Mixed Certificate IV and Mixed Diploma) Diploma IELTS Overall 5.5 (minimum of 5.5 in individual band scores) (6.0/5.5 for fast track) GCE 'O' Level C6 (B4 for fast track) TPP IELTS requirement of 6.0 (no less than 5.5) prior to commencement of the TPP (leading to Medicine) Note: Some pathways may not be available throughout the year.
