Entry Requirements

UPP (Standard) First-year university courses Academic: completion of

This program is equivalent to the first year of selected degree
programs at UMass Dartmouth. To progress to the second
year of your degree, during the UPP you must complete 10
courses equal to a minimum of 30 credit hours and achieve a
GPA of 2.5. These courses are usually completed within three
semesters (one year).
UPP (Mixed English) Academic English and firstyear
university courses

UPP (Mixed English) combines UPP academic courses with
English language studies. During your first semester you
will take one academic course plus 10 hours per week of
Academic English.
PMP A one semester Preparation
course for graduate
students, leading to UMass
Dartmouth’s MBA or Master
of Science programs.

This program is designed for students who have completed a
bachelor’s degree but need additional academic support to
gain entry to a UMass Dartmouth MBA or MS programs. To
progress to the second semester of the MBA or MS program
you must complete all PMP courses with a minimum GPA of
3.0 with no grade less than a B-, as well as provide a GMAT
of 400 or better for the MBA program.

Additional costs
In addition to your tuition, accommodation and meal fees, you will need to plan for other expenses that can include books, transportation, telecommunications, recreation and entertainment. Costs will vary depending on your personal requirements.

Program fees include:
ƒ. full tuition and orientation program
ƒ. access to UMass Boston facilities campus center, library, athletic center, computers, etc)
ƒ. participation in UMass Boston students clubs and associations
ƒ. UMass Boston academic and career advising, housing, international student advising, IT services and other services available to all students on campus
ƒ. twenty-four hour access to on-campus security department
ƒ. access to UMass Boston health services (additional fees may apply). Health insurance In accordance with the State of Massachusetts Qualifying  Student Health Insurance Program, all Navitas USA students must carry health insurance. Therefore, if you do not have health insurance under another plan with comparable (equal or better) coverage, you must join the UMass Boston Student Health Insurance Plan. Please note: The following items do not
meet the state’s criteria for comparable insurance coverage:
ƒ. Foreign (international) health insurance
ƒ. Uncompensated Care Pool (free care)
Additional
In addition to your tuition and other fees, you will need approximately US$12,000 to US$15,000 to meet your living expenses each year. Typical expenses include accommodation, meals, books, stationery, transportation, utilities, telecommunications, recreation, and entertainment. These will vary according to your individual requirements. Please remember that living in the metropolitan area might make it tempting for you to spend more, so you should plan your expenses according to your budget.
